San Pedro del Pinatar
San Pedro del Pinatar is one of the main tourist towns of the Costa Cálida. Located between the Menor Sea and the Mediterranean Sea, the area is famous for its fishing traditions, its therapeutic mud and its salt lakes and sandy beaches. Located at the extreme north of the Mar Menor, its name comes from a small temple which the fishermen built in honor of Saint Peter in an area populated with pines.
It has been a big agricultural and fishing town , but also maintains a big tourist activity in Lo Pagán, where are the famous baths of mud, beneficial for health.
The Regional Park of Murcia,shelter more than a hundred species of birds among which one distinguishes the flamingo. Two seas on a single coast (Mar Menor - Little Sea - and the Mediterranean), impressive cliffs, endless paradisiacal white sandy beaches, wild creeks with shimmering waters, and over 3000 hours sunshine per year and mild winter temperatures .
